This single shot pistol is very simple in mechanics and was the product of William H. Elliott, an employee of Remington. The hammer acts as the breechblock, so once the hammer is cocked, the cartridge is inserted, and the pistol is ready to fire. This would quite literally have fit in a very small pocket of a vest in the late 19th Century. The top of the barrel is marked with “Remingtons Ilion, NY/Patent Oct.1.1861”. The overall condition is good. The steel surfaces bear a dark, mixed patina. The markings are legible. The rosewood grips are in good condition. The bore is in good shape. The action is excellent. Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Barrel is 3-¼ inches. Caliber: .22 Rimfire Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE.
