Description:
Somewhat unusual Colt Detective Special with factory bobbed hammer, custom tuned action, and front night sight. Serial number dates production to 1993. This was a "special production" model released in very limited numbers by the Colt Custom Shop as documented by the included Colt Archive Letter. The "CCS2" stamping on the grip frame also varifies it's Colt Custom Shop origin. The front tritium night sight has long since gone dark but can be replaced by a qualified gunsmith. The gun itself is in very good condition showing some light scattered handling marks but no high edge wear from carry. The "tuned" double action pull is very smooth for a Colt revolver. Currently wearing Colt issued "150th Anniversary" grips that I don't believe they are correct for this model, but they feel great in your hand. Would make for an excellent carry/collector piece.
