Description:
The Dakota Model 76 is one of the most desirable hunting rifles in the world, proven on every continent, in every climate and on every type of game. Exemplifying the very best of bolt action innovation with exquisite lines and impeccable shot to shot precision, it has deservedly taken its place among the legendary rifles of the 20th and 21st centuries.
The Traveler breaks down into two sections-the receiver/stock and the barrel/forend-for compact carry. This 375 H&H Magnum African Grade features a highly upgraded walnut stock with a shadow line Monte Carlo cheekpiece, hand cut Fleur de Lis checkering (wrap around on forend), an ebony forend tip and ebony cross bolt plugs. The satin finished stock has a metal grip cap and a Pachmayr recoil pad yielding a 13 5/8” length of pull. A single blade quarter rib rear sight and a front banded, hooded gold bead front sight with flip up night sight sit atop the 24” barrel. The metal is matte blued. The bolt knob is rust blued and has three panel checkering. The barrel band front and inletted rear sling swivel studs make installing a sling easy. Talley bases are mounted to the receiver. There are some rack marrs above the trigger on the left side of the stock. Factory test fired and sighted in only. Weight is 11 lbs.
