We are pleased to offer this beautiful and scarce Winchester Model 9422 High Grade Traditional Tribute rifle in .22 Magnum complete with the original box, inserts, and hang tag. Winchester introduced this "tribute" rifle in 2005 in 4 grades and in both .22LR and .22 Magnum, and planned on making a total of 9,422 of them thru 2006. Winchester actually ended production well short of 9,422 due to high price of these rifles causing slow sales. There apparently were substantially more .22LR guns then .22 Magnum guns manufactured. This particular .22 Magnum "High Grade Traditional" model featured a 20.5" inch round barrel with silver lettering on right side of the barrel, etched engraving on a blued receiver with a silver banner on the left side and a silver Winchester horse and rider on the right, and a checkered straight-grip deluxe Walnut stock and forearm. The barrel lettering is "Model 9422 High Grade Tribute - One of 9422". The silver banner on the left side of the receiver has "Model 9422 Tribute" engraved into it. This Winchester also came in a box with a special outer sleeve with color artwork, pictures, and lettering. This example is serial number FTS0636 and is in mint condition, unfired, and in the original box. It shows no flaws or handling marks and could pass as having left the factory yesterday instead of 2005/2006. The box is in great shape as well but has some minor storage and handling wear. The serial numbered end-label is still intact and in great shape. The cardboard and styrofoam inserts as well as the shipping wrapping paper are still there, along with a factory promotional retail hangtag. There is no owner's manual; I'm told it was just the standard owner's manual so it should not be hard to find one online. This Winchester is a very scarce model and this example even more so because it's a .22 Magnum model. If you have been looking for the ultimate Model 9422 to add to your collection this it is. It would be impossible to upgrade from this Winchester.
