We normally ship USPS Priority Mail which should be 2-day ship. Shipping is actual cost with a minimum of $30.00 for pistols and $50.00 for rifles/shotguns to ship to most of the 48 contiguous states. Shipping to Alaska may require an extra fee. The Mark V is Weatherby’s premier bolt action rifle, which easily rivals or surpasses the best the other manufactures have to offer in both quality and accuracy. These rifles have a strong lock-up thanks to the high number of locking lugs on the bolt with no less than 9 locking lugs on rifles chambered in magnum calibers (the famed Mauser 98 rifle, known for its strong lock-up, has only 3 locking lugs. The large number of locking lugs not only ensures a tight lock-up between bolt and receiver, it also allows for a shorter throw when operating the action, requiring only 54 degrees of turn to lock or unlock. Metal-work on these rifles is high-quality and comes in a high-luster finish. The Monte-Carlo stock, a common feature on Weatherby rifles, is fitted with a Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad. The rifle shown above is a left-hand version. Most manufacturers do not routinely produce left-handed bolt actions, and when they do, the rifles are at a higher price than the standard right-handed model. Not only did Weatherby manufacture the Mark V in a left-hand model, they sold them at the same price as their right-handers! This rifle is chambered for the 300 Weatherby Magnum, a very powerful cartridge suited for hunting the heaviest game in North America. It can also be used to hunt medium game at long distances. A Tasco 6-24x40mm scope has been fitted for medium-long range shots. The bipod is a Blackhawk Products 9-13” with adjustable pivot. The rifle is in excellent condition, though there are one or two mars in the stock’s wood at the rear. Overall, the rifle is in 95-98 percent condition. The bore is in excellent shape. If you are a left-handed shooter who wants to hunt at long distances, the Mark V is an excellent choice. These rifles normally retail in the mid-2000s brand new. Do not pass up the opportunity to own one of these fine rifles.
