SUPERIOR CIVIL WAR ROBY U.S. MODEL 1860 CAVALRY SABER AND SCABBARD DATED 1864. 100% attic untouched and un-cleaned excellent condition. 41” o/a with 35” blade. Stamped on the ricasso “U.S./1864/A.G.M.” and on the obverse “C. ROBY/W. CHELMSFORD/MASS”. Excellent with most of the original polish on the blade and with the original leather washer. Unpolished brass hilt with all the original leather grip wrap and wire. Nice original scabbards with no dents. Scabbard is unpolished and has an old dark attic storage patina mixed with some light salt and pepper. Extra nice example.
