INDIAN WARS SPRINGFIELD U.S. MODEL 1877 TRAPDOOR CARBINE IN 7TH CAVALRY SERIAL RANGE CA. 1877. Original .45-70 cal. carbine with 22” barrel. Serial number in the 76,8xx range within a close serial number group of other carbines documented by Springfield records as having been issued to the 7th United States Cavalry in 1877. All original carbine with upgrades of the Model 1884 added during it’s service life. Very good overall with grey metal patina. Very good markings. Stock sanded and refinished. Working order and excellent bore.
