Ruger's 10/22 Model is one of the most successful semi-auto .22 rifle designs of all time. Shortly after being introduced in 1964 the 10/22 earned a reputation for being a very well built gun that was both accurate and reliable. Ruger has continued to make the 10/22 in numerous variations and limited production models for the last 54 years up to the present day. This example is one of the limited production models made for the Wal-Mart chain. It is a stainless steel Ruger 10/22 Rifle with a 22" barrel rather than the 16.1" to 20" barrels fitted to the various carbine models, and is also the "Deluxe" version featuring a higher grade wood stock with lots of nice figure in it. It is the only Ruger 10/22 that we are aware of that has the receiver stamped "Model 10/22 Rifle" where "Rifle" is substituted for the normal "Carbine" stamp. It is a very attractive 10/22 and handles more like centerfire rifle than the carbine version. This example is serial number 252-77791 and was manufactured in 2001. It is in excellent all-original condition, and appears to have been fired very little. The stainless steel barrel has a minty bright bore, free from any imperfections and still showing sharp lands and grooves in the rifling. It has the factory iron sights intact and in excellent condition. The silver aluminum alloy receiver and triggerguard also appear free from any wear or marring. The rotary 10-round factory magazine is in excellent shape and is free from wear. The original factory stock is beautiful on this Ruger. It features a checkered forearm and pistol grip, factory installed sling swivels, and a factory installed Ruger branded recoil pad. It is in excellent condition overall, with only some tiny handling marks visible under close inspection. We have not seen any 10/22 before of any variation with a factory stock that has as much attractive stripe in the stock as this one. Everything on this Ruger works 100% like the day it left the factory, and it's ready to go to the range or the farm for some plinking or hunting. If you have been looking for a nice semi-auto .22 rifle to add to your collection this 10/22 Rifle would be a great choice. While thousands and thousands of people own 10/22s, the beautiful stock and long barrel on this Deluxe Rifle model really sets it apart from the crowd.
