It indexes well, and the action is tight with all clicks on the hammer. The exterior has VG metal, a smooth even dark greyish brown patina with minor light scattered pitting, good markings and all matching numbers. The barrel address is the correct two-line style with minor holster wear. Wood grips are decent older replacements with light wear, no serious damage, but not a perect fit (see photos). A bit better than the average S/A that one sees at most of the regional gun shows these days, and one of the most popular configurations for and caliber and length. Made at the height of the famed Lincoln County Cattle Wars in the early-mid 1880s, and typical of the average cowboys sidearm of the time. VG. $2495 SOLD Antique: Yes |
