Description:
This is a Winchester 1886 rifle in .45-70. The serial number dates to 1893. The straight grip stock with steel carbine butt plate has not been sanded and the metal is in original condition with Good patina. The fore end has a steel cap. The full length magazine tube has a dent on the bottom about 1 1/2 inch back. The 26 inch round barrel has Good rifling with no visible pitting. The rear sight is a tangent style sight with a pull up ladder sight. The front sight is a Micro bead.
