Description:
This is a fully restored LC Smith 20 gauge ejector field grade. 28" barrels, F/F chokes, 2 3/4" chambers, 14 1/2" LOP over thin vintage style pad, and a surprisingly modern      1 1/2" DAC. This classic double weighs in at a trim 6 lbs, 1 oz, and has the three position automatic safety. This LC Smith was just fully restored with bone charcoal case colors, rust blued barrels, and hot blued furniture. As is common with LC Smiths, the head of the stock had cracks. The wood was completely stripped of its finish and de-oiled. The cracks were then repaired with acraglass, which is stronger than the wood itself and should last indefinitely. The areas behind the lock plates were inletted and glass bedded to prevent future cracking. The rest of the stock head was then glass bedded to the frame, and the stock refinished with hand rubbed oil, and then a top coat of carnuba wax for added protection. The case colored surfaces wear a thin protective layer of nitrocellulose lacquer for added durability, which was also originally done at the LC Smith factory. The action locks up tight like new and the ejectors work perfectly. The bores shine brightly but do show some very shallow superficial frosting/pitting. Certainly nothing that would impact shooting in any way. The checkering is good, as shown in the photos. Google Classic Case Colors LLC to find my site and view the restoration services I offer. Insured USPS Priority Mail shipping is $50 to lower 48. Idaho residents add 6% sales tax. Three day non-firing, non-disassembly inspection period runs from delivery to your FFL. The case color patterns on this LC are especially vivid and breath taking. If there is a better deal anywhere on an LC Smith ejector 20 gauge, I have not seen it. Feel free to ask any questions.
