Available for your consideration here is a most pristine and correct original example of a colt 45 auto we have ever seen, A commercial government 1911 model in 99% condition overall. This begins the transitional period from 1911(1912) to 1911A1(1925). In particular.. this firearm has a heart shaped cut frame which was done on military models with no finish work done thereafter (sharp edges). The barrel markings were researched with no solid confirmation, but is a correct
variation for this era. Bore is clean with good lands and grooves. The low profile sights and diamond checkered grips are both correct and in excellent original condition. The polished metal finish on this particular blued gun is in fantastic original unmolested condition with great roll marks all around. No assembly mark, no wear on front grip strap or rear main spring housing. NO significant scratches or marks on metal anywhere, very very light high edge and / or muzzle wear.
Firearm functions perfectly with nice tight operation. A colt letter will be included with this firearm. An era correct box not numbered to the gun is also included. We watch market value closely and feel 7500.00 is very fair on this item. USPS priority ship is 40.00 to anywhere in the USA, insured. FFL is required for transfer, C & R is OK.
