Here is a Exceptional Blue Colt detective .38 special revolver with hardcase and manuals as new, except picture box was NOT numbered to this gun. A sticker covers original number. I say exceptional because I bought 6 of these detective special revolvers before I got 1 in this great blue condition. Unfortunately, colt bluing of the 60's to 90's era revolvers does not hold up very well.. often faded or cloudy on the side plates. Gun has couple tiny box marks, but nearly flawless bright high polish with consistant deep blue finish throughout, no scratches or high edge wear. Cylinder appears maybe never fired. Grips in new condition with no marks. Box is mint for a picture box. This is last year colt made detective special in blue and this is a late `95 serial number.. very close to end of production. DS-11 and the like were all stainless steel after this gun was made. ship is 35.00 to anywhere in the USA, insured. FFL is required for transfer.
