Description:
Ethan Allen's first firearm was the  "Pocket Rifle",  a single-shot under-hammer percussion pistol.  Typically sold in pairs,  the "Pocket Rifle" was produced from 1830–1842.       This one is marked under the barrel with the number"21" 
Saw handle grip.  Iron mountings with an engraved frame. The
 "Pocket Rifle" with the Grafton Markings, was  also known as the celebrated  "MISSISSIPPI RIFLE PISTOL". This specimen has a 8" half round half octagon barrel, and appears to be about. 34 caliber as noted in Flayderman.  Box-like frame Made without ramrod.  Handle has been repaired. The pistol amazingly  still  cocks and fires.
