Kornbrath engraved R.G. [Bob] Owen, Sauquoit, New York Springfield 30-06 with 24" barrel with excellent bore, hooded ramp front sight, barrel sling swivel stud, and Lyman 48 reciever peep sight with Mauser slide inletted into rear reciever ring in classic Owen style. Engraved and checkered bolt knob. Floor plate and trigger guard with full coverage Acanthus leaf and bouquet engraving by Rudolph Kornbrath. Stocked in nicely figured Circassion Walnut with shadow line pancake cheekpiece, steel trap grip cap with engraved screws, and ebony forend tip. Point pattern checkering that wraps the forend. Hart Arms Co., Cleveland sling. 13 1/2" LOP to an engraved and checkered trap buttplate. 8lb 8oz This is an outstanding piece by one of the Masters of the early 20th Century. He stood shoulder to shoulder in the fine gun arena with Griffin & Howe, Fred Adolph, and Hoffman Arms. This piece remains in excellent original condition and appears to be unaltered since leaving Mr. Owen's talented hands.
