Merwin and Bray were agents and wholesalers and Plant would mark revolvers for such agents such as Eagle Arms, and Reynolds, Plant, and Hotchkiss as well as Merwin and Bray. About 20,000 total were made, but no records are known as to how many were marked of each named agent. This particular cupfire patent circumvention revolver is is really nice condition, fully operating and complete and in exceptional condition. It has liberal traces of thin silver wash on the frame, liberal plumming thin blue on the cylinder, and excellent grips. Made during the Civil War, these became obsolete by the late 1860s. Very Fine as described. $450 SOLD Antique: Yes |
