Fine+ bore that should clean to about Excellent (9+) and a tight smooth action. The barrel has a few light nicks and s (see photos) and just very minor s and bruises of the last 150 years over the rest of the gun. Basically it has very fine wood and has a VERY sharp DFC (David F. Clark) inspectors acceptance cartouche in the center of the stock on the left side center and equally sharp CW acceptance cartouche under the saddle ring bar. The metal is also Fine with almost no pitting, just having some significant pitting in the receiver cartridge trough. Lots of dulling thin blue on the barrel and hints of cloudy grey faded casecolor on the receiver. The markings are patially visible on the frame and on the barrel due to the arsenal converting and refinishing in the post-CW war years. About Fine as described. $2475 SOLD Antique: Yes |
