Description:
This is a classic Colt medium-frame revolver. The frame numbers back as an Army Special, the predecessor to the Colt Official Police. It has a six-inch Colt Official Police barrel in .38 Special. The Official Police is just an Army Special with a few enhancements, so their barrels interchange easily. It is easily plausible that Colt, similarly to Smith & Wesson, refused to let parts go to waste and built the gun with remaining parts just to make a sale.
This gun is in good condition, with most of the wear concentrated on the muzzle and high edges, with a small scratch on the top strap. There are matching numbers on the crane and the frame. The front sight is full and un-touched. This revolver has a nice, tight lock-up and perfect timing. The barrel has a mint bore with no issues.
