Swiss Rifle, K-31, mfg by Sig-Sauer. Ser. 867xxx, Matching Serial Nos. Complete with good original leather sling and bayonet (w/scabbard)

Caliber 7.5x55mm Swiss. Elgible as Curio/Relic. All matching serial numbers. Included is bayonet with scabbard (ser. does not match rifle, however). Metal condition: minor blueing fading and wear. Wood Condition: Beechwood (or Walnut?) Scratches and scuff marks. Bore: Bright and sharp shiny rifling. Sliding tanget sight to 1500 m. Butt plate: bluing ok, with minor use scratches and dents - suspect from training and manual-of-arms rifle drills.
The Swiss Army Reservists, after serving their mandatory active duty time, were active reserve until middle age; they kept their assigned rifle in their homes in case of immediate call-up. So, this piece was very well taken care of. It was a true "tack-driver" for me - at least by my non-competition standard!
This piece is one of my long-term military rifle and pistol collection. I'm 80 years old and sadly, it's time to start selling off my +/- 55-yr collection.
My sales price is pretty firm, as I'm not under pressure to sell; I want my pieces to go to good homes!.
