CASED BROWNING DIANA GRADE SUPERPOSED 3-BARREL SET

DESCRIPTION:
Beautiful Browning Diana Grade featuring 26-1/2” bbls, in 20 ga., 28 ga., 410. The gun is SN 50XXXV8 and is a NON SALT gun (note also see photo of receiver removed from stock). The 3 Barrels are each choked SKEET/SKEET Gun features ejectors & gold-plated single selective trigger. Mounted with very highly figured, flame-grain, American walnut with tapered, grasping groove, target forearms and round knob- short tang stock. The Stock measures 14 3/8” x 1 5/8”” x 2 1/8” over original Browning logo rubber butt pad and with the 20 gauge barrel weighs approximately 6.6 lobs. The receiver is unusually Double engraved by Ch Servais. Engraving is hammer and chisel, deep, clean and executed masterfully with a combination of acanthus vines and leaves and game animals in typical Diana patterns of pheasants on left side, ducks on right side, quail on bottom & rabbits on trigger bow, all in gray finish. As stated, this gun falls in the salt gun period and has been tested ’negative’ for salt. Furthermore, all metal and screws bear no evidence of salt contamination after 50 years. Accompanied by a Browning factory 3-bbl case.
CONDITION:
Very fine to extremely fine, as noted. Bbls retain all of their orig factory blue.. Receiver and all metal on trigger remain as new with no noticeable marks. Mechanics are crisp, bright shiny bores. Wood is as new with minmal (if any) handling marks. This 3 barrel set is a hard to find Diana Grade with this as nice of wood having great color and figure, set up both to win any sub gauge clays match and sure gather the attention of those wanting to take in the field. For collectors, you cannot go wrong on this masterpiece.
