Description:
Often referred to as "gallery guns", many of these Winchester 62s were used at carnivals and such. Especially ones such as this when they were chambered in .22 Short. This one was built in 1950, and though it has a fair amount of exterior wear, the bore has survived to be in excellent bright condition. Wood is solid with no cracks or major damage or repairs. It does not appear to have ever been sanded and is clean with nice straight grain. The rifle could likely do with a total disassembly and deep clean, but works smoothly as is. The original Winchester buttplate is in excellent condition and appears free of any cracks or loss. Fits the stock perfectly and I'm sure it is original to the gun. $35 shipping to the lower 48 and 3% surcharge for using a CC.
