VERY FINE Circa 1920s Spanish “RUBY” 32 ACP Pistol
Here we present a Fine Spanish Ruby Pattern Pistol, made circa the 1920s in Spain. The Spanish gun manufacturer Gabilando y Urresti-Eibar was the original maker of the “Ruby”, designing it closely after the FN Model 1903 Pistol. World War I drove arms sales and France, in need of small arms, bought thousands. Unable to keep up, Gabilando y Urresti-Eibar contracted with other firms to make the pistols. This continued to be a popular sidearm through World War II.
This pistol is marked “FABRIQUE D’ARMES DE GUERRE CAL 765/CAL 32” on the left side. The right side is marked “MADE IN SPAIN” in very small letters, just under the serial number. This pistol is equipped with a lanyard ring just above the heel-catch magazine release.
The overall condition is very fine. The original blue finish is about 98% intact. The markings are clear and legible. The bore is sharp and bright. The stocks are fine. The action on this pistol is excellent.
