SOLD!!! SUPER RARE NUMBERED CONFEDERATE IRON RIFLE!!!!! Bought from Brian Akins of Rebel Relics some of his write up follows: Confederate Pattern 1856 Iron Rifle with Confederate JS Anchor viewers mark. This is a numbered Confederate Pattern 1856 Iron Rifle. The one and only Confederate numbered "911." These are super scarce weapons. The action works and the barrel has the correct proofs. The lock plate is marked Tower 1861. The comb of the stock is marked with nice visible JS Anchor and the Inventory number. The pictures clearly show the nice strikes. The bore is dirty and looks to be shot out. If someone cleaned the barrel there could be a faint bore maybe. This Confederate Pattern 1856 Iron Rifle is a super scarce rifle. The last Confederate Pattern 1856 Iron Rifle I was a little nicer but was over twelve thousand. Missing one screw in trigger housing. Easy replacement. Has Rebel initials carved in it. Great research project. Very competively priced CS import rifle. Do your research and compare please. You will not find an authentic Civil War CS marked rare rifle like this one at this price point.
