The Carbine’s serial # 6560063 indicates gun was produced December 1944.Every part observed in the disassembled gun appears correct for this late war carbine.All parts were made by Winchester , Winchester’s subcontractors and correct suppliers .The gun and parts clearly indicated it is a hard to find, unreworked late war M 1 carbine.
The following parts are clearly marked Winchester :receiver,barrel,barrel band /bayonet lug,unmarked front sight,rear sight,trigger guard,sear,trigger,safety,bolt(round),magazine release,slide,recoil plate,stock.The stock was refinished at some point but still retains the Winchester W mark in the sling cut and crossed cannons appear on stock right side.The canvas cover is in fair condition patched hole and marked The Fala Co 1945.Sling is not original but has oiler in place.The stock mounted mag pouch retains a few small holes and is in fair condition marked LM Lyster 1943.Bore is bright and shinny,original green parkerizing is over90 %.Two original 10 rd magazines are marked RO and LU.This gun is in very good condition.
