For sale, a very nice 1975 production Remington Model 700 ADL in .270 Winchester caliber. This rifle is in excellent condition for a 43 year old rifle. The factory gloss blue finish rates 98% plus and the factory jeweled bolt is still bright. All of the controls work 100% like the day it left the factory. The action is smooth and locks up tight. The trigger is quite good, it breaks cleanly with no grit, creep, or overtravel. The barrel is 22" inches long and came with iron sights from the factory. The front sight is still intact, but the rear sight has been removed and plug screws were installed, most likely when the rifle was scoped. The bore is minty and bright. The rifling has sharp lands and grooves and there is zero pitting or erosion. The factory checkered Walnut stock is in excellent shape, completely free of cracks and repairs with only minor handling/storage marks visible under close inspection. These marks are mainly on the left side of the buttstock around the cheekpiece. As you can see in the pictures the stock is very attractive and the original gloss finish is still intact, bright, and clear. The length of pull is 13.5 inches to the end of the factory installed buttplate. The stock also features period Uncle Mike's sling swivel studs and a leather sling already installed. The .270 Winchester chambering is a classic that is both readily available and more than adequate for any North American big game. This rifle comes with a period Bushnell Sportview 4-12x40mm scope mounted on Redfield rings and a 1-piece base. The scope is in perfect working order. The optics are clear and bright with no scracthes or chipping, and both the power adjusting ring and both adjustment turrets work smoothly. Overall, this is a very handsome vintage rifle package that is a great value at this price. All you need to do is buy some ammo for it and you can head to the range or woods with a rifle you can be proud to own and carry.
