Payment Types Accepted: cashier's check or money orders Description: Reduced Price a Second Time! This is a scarce Simson & Co Luger with all serial numbers matching on a gun in excellent 97% Blue, 70% Straw condition. All the accessories are likewise in excellent condition. This Luger, SN 3328, was originally assigned to an Artillery School and is stamped A.S.380 (now struck through) on the gun’s front strap. Included in this offering are a very fine R.Larsen/Berlin Holster manufactured in about 1929 also assigned to an Artillery School (A.S.514 stamped on the front of the holster under the flap), a combination takedown and loading tool marked DE/6, a holster mounted cleaning rod, and 2 correct Simson magazines with serial numbers close to the gun’s SN, but not matching. One is only 11 numbers higher than the gun's serial number and was probably made less than an hour later. On the right side of the barrel extension there are two DE/6 and one DE/33 acceptance/firing proofs as used by the Simson Company along with a small Weimar Eagle acceptance proof. Each magazine is stamped with a DE/6 on the bottom back of the tube and the aluminum base is marked two places with the same DE/6 stamp on its top and bottom. Less than 12,000 Simson Lugers were manufactured between 1925 and 1934 for the German police and army, right before the Simson family (Jewish) were forced to sell out to Nazi supporters as Hitler rose to power in Germany. This particular gun was probably made in 1928. The top of the chamber has no date stamp, and the 1928 date of manufacture is estimated using Edward Tinker & Graham Johnson’s book, “Simson Lugers”. The serial number appears on the front of the frame, on the left side of the receiver, under the barrel and the last two digits are on most small parts. The back sides of the grips are marked with the gun’s full serial number plus the DE/6. Condition This Simson Luger and all the accessories that come with it are in excellent condition. Its overall appearance is enhanced by the fact that 97% of the original factory blue finish and 70% of the straw color on the small parts remain. There are inspection marks everywhere on the weapon. Even the grip retaining screws have the Eagle/6 stamped on them. Proof marks are well struck and clearly visible. The wear on the gun’s finish is mostly confined to sharp edges and the side plate, especially the . Grip checkering is still in excellent condition, with mostly holster wear and some light compression flattening of the diamond points in a few areas. This is an excellent example of a Simson & Co Weimar era Luger. A USPS Money Order or a Cashier/Teller Check is my preferred method of receiving payment. Personal checks will be accepted, but will require 14 days after receipt before shipping the gun to make sure the check clears. The gun will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail. All shipping costs (postage and insurance) will be in addition to the winningamount. I am a private collector with no sales tax required. No international shipments.
