Description:
Smith & Wesson Model 53 in 22 Remington Jet. Serial number: K473793; 4-screw. Manufactured in 1962; item meets Curio & Relic (C&R) requirements. The original, deep blue finish is bright and shiny. This gun was used as a hunter. It was well-cared for but it shows use from the field. Sharp-edge wear can be found on the front edges of the cylinder, on the cylinder latch and on the edge of the trigger guard. Holster scuffs at the muzzle but not through the blue finish. There is a 2-inch scratch on the right side of the frame, on top of the blue finish, that does not show in the pictures. Diamond grips show nice grain and color, small dent on the trigger guard side of the left panel - does not show up in the listing pictures. A former owner has painted the front sight ramp - this is easily removed. Despite the noted issues this is a really nice gun estimated at 92-95%. Six aluminum inserts for shooting 22 LR are included; unfortunately no box or paperwork are provided. Shipping is included in the sales price; gun will be shipped by an FFL. Additional fees will be incurred for shipments to Alaska & Hawaii. Will accept money order and certified check. FFL or C&R required. Can be contacted via text or call via the telephone number.
