Description:
Orig 24" full oct bbl with full length magazine. Orig sights include flip up ladder sporting rear sight. Correct sling swivels. Rifle style buttplate. The wood is in fine condition with a considerable amount of original varnish. A few light dings and mars but sound and solid. Bbl and mag retain about 20% of orig blue in protected areas. Sharp corners and excellent markings. Receiver has turned a beautiful deep butterscotch color. Very detailed relief style engraving with 4 different game scenes. 95% coverage of the receiver. Very well done. This is the 3rd gun I have seen with this type of engraving. Not sure who the engraver was, could be Nimschke. Gun has seen very little use with just some carry wear on the upper tang. Definately the engraving dates back to when the gun was new. All original and would be hard to improve upon.
