Description:
Original Montgomery Ward & Co. Holster. This single loop holster was shop made and beautifully and elaborately hand stamped. The main seam is sewn and all stitching is tight. The workmanship is excellent, and equal to that of shops like Heiser and others. This holster will fit a Colt 1849 pocket model, Colt Lightning or Thunderer, a 1858 Remington Police, Cimerron Lightning and many other small frame frontier era guns with a 3 1/2 or 4 inch barrel. A single loop style with the loop sewn to the skirt. Stamped on the back (2642 4"). The back also has the initials L.W.M. nicely printed in inch high letters. Now if I knew who's initials? Maybe you do? Maybe a famous bandit or lawman? The big brother to this holster can be seen in "Packing Iron"on page 135 and also inside the front cover. It is a perfect fit for your small frame single action frontier era revolver, but could serve equally as well for your small double action. The leather is alive and would give years of service or displaying with your antique revolver. My guns are not included. Payment Cash, postal money order, cashiers check, personal & business checks.
