Description:

EXC Smith & Wesson .38 S&W Single Action Revolver

Beautiful 19th Century Self-Defense Revolver

Here we present an antique Smith & Wesson .38 Single Action Second Model Revolver made circa 1880s in Springfield, Massachusetts. This would have been a very nice revolver to put on a belt in the late 19th Century. It held 5 shots of .38 S&W.

The top of the barrel is marked with “SMITH&WESSON SPRINGFIELD, MASS U.S.A. PAT’D JAN. 17&24 ‘65/JULY 11 ’65 AUG. 24, ’69, JAN 19 1875. REISSUE JULY 25, 1871”.  Along with the serial number “51765” the number “2925” is stamped on the butt of this revolver. The grips bear the S&W logo.

The overall condition is excellent. The original nickel finish is about 90%. The case colors on the hammer are vibrant. The markings are clear and legible. The bore is sharp and bright. The original hard rubber grips are in fine condition. The action on this revolver is excellent. Here is a very high condition S&W from the 1880s!

Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction.

Barrel is 3-1/4 inches.

Caliber: .38 S&W
