Here we present an Iver Johnson Arms & Cycle Works Safety Automatic Double Action Revolver in .32 S&W, made circa 1900 in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. Iver Johnson & Martin Bye both cut their teeth with Ethan Allen, then started their own company in 1871. The company continued to operate until 1993. This revolver was designed to be small and concealable for self-defense in the years leading up to the Roaring Twenties.
The overall condition is very good. The original nickel finish is about 85%. The markings are clear and legible. The bore is in good condition with good rifling and mild spotting. The trademark Iver Johnson owl grips are in very good condition. The action is functional, though the trigger return is sluggish.
