Spanish “DREADNAUGHT” in 32 S&W by ANTONIO ERRASTI
Early 19th Century Spanish Copy of Hand Ejector
Here we present an Antonio Errasti Dreadnought Double Action Revolver with Pearl Grips and Holster, made circa the early 1900s in Eibar, Spain. This revolver was a clear copy of a Smith & Wesson Hand Ejector Revolver. Even the logo and other markings are similar to contemporary S&Ws. This same maker is also known to have copied other brands, such as Colt during the same period, some even on contract for militaries such as France.
This specimen has had its barrel shortened a bit. It looks sharp with its nickel finish and mother of pearl grips. Markings as seen in photos.
The overall condition is very good. The original nickel finish is about 90%. The markings are clear. The mother of pearl grips are in good condition. The bore is sharp and clean. The action is excellent.
