“U.S. REVOLVER CO” .38 S&W Solid Frame Revolver
Made by Iver Johnson Arms & Cycle Works Circa 1910
Here we present a U.S. Revolver Co. Solid Frame Double Action Revolver, manufactured by Iver Johnson Arms & Cycle Works circa 1910. This revolver is chambered for 5 shots of .38 S&W. The U.S. Revolver company was a trade brand used by Iver Johnson Arms and Cycle Works strictly for mail order and was of very good quality. It would have made a great little sidearm for the early 20th Century citizen.
The top of the barrel of this revolver is marked “U.S. REVOLVER CO./MADE IN U.S.A.”. The hard rubber grips are marked with the trademark “U.S.”
The overall condition is very good. About 10% of the original blue finish remain with the balance having a light patina. The case colors on the hammer and trigger are about 80%. The markings are clear. The serial numbers match. The original grips are in great shape. The bore is clean and sharp. The action is excellent.
