Payment Types Accepted: Visa,Master Card, Discover,Check Description: The Colt Model 1877 Lightning was made from 1877 to 1909 with over 166,000 manufactured. The 6-shot double action revolvers were fitted with either a 1 1/2, 2, 2 1/2, 3, 3 1/2, 4, 4 1/2, 5 or 6 inch barrels without ejector and 4 1/2, 5, 6, 7, 7 1/2 inch barrels with ejectors, blue or nickel finished, etched or roll stamped caliber markings on the barrel, one or two-piece grips, and chambered in .38 Colt. This 1877 vintage (1st year production/serial number 1845) gun is as described and is fitted with a 3 1/2 inch barrel, is nickel plated, has the etched panel caliber marking on the left side of the barrel, and unique one piece checkered hard rubber grips. Revolver is in excellent condition, retaining 99% of its original nickel finish. Some of the screws still retain traces of their original fire blue finish. The checkered grips are in like new condition, fit perfectly, and have no chips or cracks. The bore is bright, with sharp rifling, and the action functions perfectly. Gun is all numbers matching: Frame to trigger guard, back-strap, cylinder, and barrel. Comes with a Colt box, correct for the gun, but does not number to it. Also included with the gun is a Colt Factory letter which states gun was shipped July 25, 1877 to William Read & Son located in Bostom, Massachusetts.
