Description:
22 Long Rifle; 80% blue, excellent bore, good grips, 4.75'' barrel, Manufactured in 1931. Original blue finish and checkered walnut grips. Original fixed front and adjustable rear sights. Factory two-tone finish magazine. All original factory parts. Standard Colt markings with the two-line address and patent dates on the left side of the slide followed by the Rampant Colt logo. The right side of the frame is hand stamped with the markings "S U I 14". Accompanying this pistol is a factory letter which states that the gun with sold to the War Department and was shipped to the University of Iowa ROTC, Iowa City, Iowa September 23, 1931. The metal finish shows edge wear and handling scratches with browning finish on the grip straps and a spot on the right side of the frame behind the grip panel. Mechanically fine.
