FRENCH FLINTLOCK INDIAN TRADE FUSIL CIRCA 1760’S. 57” overall with 42” octagon/round .65 caliber smoothbore barrel. Full length stock with brass mounts. Stock with “Bell Flower” trade style carving about the tang and “Arrowhead” trigger guard finial . Lightly engraved butt plate and side plate. All original and in original flint with all the original lock parts. Stock with the original patinated finish Metal a dark grey patina. Original wood ramrod. Working order. Superior example of a typical French Trade Fusil of the pre Revolutionary War period with many of their type traded for furs to Indian tribes from the Allegheny mountains to the Rockies.
