INDIAN WARS SHARPS U.S. MODEL 1868 CONVERSION .50-70 CAL. CAVALRY CARBINE. 22” barrel with original Lawrence Patent rear and post and blade front sights. Superior and all original, complete example of the post Civil War cartridge conversion used by many Frontier Cavalry Regiments prior to issue of the Model 1873 Springfield. Extra nice with 90% plus original blue and much case hardening. Stock and forend with all the original finish and excellent “DFC” inspector’s cartouche. Perfect working order and excellent bore. Really nice example.
