Description:
Garbi Golden Sabel 12 Gauge SxS
ASSISTED OPENER, HAND ENGRAVED, DETACHABLE SIDELOCKS

General Specs: Garbi, Year 1976, 12 Gauge, 6lbs 10oz, Side-by-Side
Serial Number: 10626

Armas Garbi builds a traditional English style gun based on the Holland & Holland type sidelock action. These guns feature chopper lump barrels, automatic ejectors, 5-pin side-locks and articulated front triggers as standard equipment.  Their upper level guns have Holland & Holland style assisted opening features.  Considered the best of the Spanish BEST gunmakers, the Garbi is an incredible value for a BEST gun in every way, with hand engraved actions, hand checkered stocks fitted to perfection, and highly polished internal parts.  This particular Garbi is considered a 103-B in today’s model lingo, as it has the same engraving and features as this newer model.  William Larkin Moore is the North American supplier for Armas Garbi and if you go to their to price this gun out with all features the cost would exceed $28,000 new.  This gun, serial number 10626 built in 1976, is in excellent condition ready for another several generations of use.  In 1976 these guns were all built by old-world gunmakers, as CNC did not exist.  The engraving, checkering, stock-fitting all done to superb quality.  The handling characteristics were second to none, and this 6lb. 10oz. 12ga. balances dead on the hinge pin and points naturally as you mount the gun.  With the 27” barrels choked IC/M and retaining mirror perfect bores, it is the perfect upland and clays gun.  The stock dimensions are very modern, and there are no cracks or repairs in the wood.  The mechanics are perfect, with barrels tight as new on the hinge pin and breech face, strong well-timed ejectors, auto-safety, crisp trigger pulls with the front trigger articulated, even the trigger guard has the rolled edge on the right side…nice touch found only on the finest shotguns.  The Garbi is one of the best values on the market for a top-rated gun at an affordable price.  Thanks for looking and this is your lightweight 12ga. carry gun.  Don’t let her slip away!
