Beautiful Pennsylvania Half Stock Heavy Barrel Target Rifle by John Ferree, Allegheny PA, (operator of Allegheny Gun Works 1831-1886). Caliber .44 and gun weight of 15½ lbs. Lock is marked “B WolffJR Pittsburgh, PA. Barrel is 35 ½” long. Gun is mounted in German silver with a very elegant engraved silver patch box. Gun has a wind gauge front sight and Tang rear sight. Gun has adjustable double set triggers. Cheek piece has an American Eagle in silver oval inlay. Gun is in very good plus condition.
