Description:
Serial #8K78505, .22 MRF (.22 WMR), 8 3/8" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This handsome pinned and recessed revolver is equipped with the desirable long barrel, and retains practically all of the original blue finish with only some trace silvering on a few of the edges, and a very mild turn-ring on the cylinder. The hammer and trigger retain a commensurate amount of the original color case-hardening with some minor gray fading along the edges as well. The S&W medallion grips are also in virtually new condition with almost no wear or handling marks and virtually no flattening of the points. The revolver is housed in its original blue two-piece Bangor Punta box along with the original instruction sheet. Also included is a 2017 dated, S&W factory letter that lists a shipping date of April 12, 1977, to Bob Smith Sporting Goods Co. of Boston, MA. This is a great Model 48 that is in excellent, nearly new condition overall. FFL
