HALL H. FERRY U.S. 1838". 52 CALIBER. Fine condition overall. Metal retains much original brown lacquer finish. Walnut stock fine, unsanded. Mechanics are fine and operate perfectly. Breech pivots upward for loading. Rifle has original sling swivels and cleaning rod. Bore is in fine condition. This rifle was well cared for. Many converted to percussion for Civil War, here is one still in the original flint. A collectors prize. Not warranted safe to shoot due to its age. Early U.S. military breech loading arm.
