NEW PRICE! This is a gorgeous example of Marcel Andre's work. Andre is considered to be one of the very top artist in the Art Deco movement. Bouraine’s Amazon is a symbol of strength and grace symbolic of the Art Deco (1920’s) period, and lovely version of a this famous French sculptor’s work. It will be a topic of conversation, for sure. The base is made of a heavy black material and is in a super recognizable Art Deco form. The sculpture looks like it is a chromed metal. It reminded me of the old elegant hood ornaments on a luxury car. You just don’t see this type of sculpture much and is the first like this that I have seen in years of collecting. The statue measures 16" long by 9" tall. This piece currently resides in the Carlos Jamines Collection. For information call 817-334-0559.
