Payment Types Accepted: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Personal Check, Money Order Description: 45 Colt; 90% blue, excellent bore, good grips, 6.5'' barrel, "Triple Lock" listed by Flayderman as the "Special Model" 44 Hand Ejector, produced for a British contract during WW1 chambered for the 455 Webley MKII cartridge. Post war converted to 45 Colt chambering. Original bright blue finish and checkered walnut diamond grips with inset gold S&W medallions. Fixed sights. Lanyard ring on butt of grip. Matching serial numbers on the barrel inside the ejector housing and on back of cylinder. British government ownership proofs. Stamped on top of the barrel with the S&W address and patent dates 1894, 1895, 1896, 1901 and 1906 in two lines. The S&W trade mark monogram is stamped on the right side of the frame. There is no caliber designation marking on the left side of the barrel. All markings and proofs are crisp and clear. The metal finish shows edge wear, thinning on the grip frame straps accounts for most of the finish loss over all. There are handling scratches over all on the gun. Mechanically fine.
