Here is a rare and gorgeous Henry double rifle in the 400 Purdey express cartridge which is a straight walled case 3in. long similar to our 40 90 Sharps straight (See Hoyem's Vol.3 page 110 for details on cartridge). This rifle has been professionally sleeved and reregulated to the original chambering. The barrels are 26 in. long with of course perfect bores. They have the original file cut top rib with a moon front sight. LOP is 13 7/8 to a leather covered pad. It weighs 8 1/2 lbs. It has Henry's back action hammerless locks which are cocked by the top lever. There is probably 90% coverage of crisp fine beautiful scroll engraving. Lovely butt stock wood with classic Henry cheek piece which contributes to the overall grace and beauty of this rifle. Many more pix for prospective buyers.
