Description:
Rare and unusual S&W Model 4576 (no dash). This 3rd Generation S&W pistol was produced from 1991 to 1992, with approximately 1,385 produced. It features a frame mounted manual decocking lever similar to the Sig style. It is a DA/SA semi-auto pistol with a 4 3/4 inch barrel, all stainless steel construction, smooth combat trigger, semi bobbed hammer, and black checkered wrap-around plastic grips. This pistol shares identical features to the S&W 1076, chambered in 10 mm, that was used by the F.B.I. and Kentucky State Police. The only difference being the .45 ACP chambering. Pistol is in excellent condtion. It would rate in the 95-98% condition, with only some slight handling scuffs to the factory S.S. finish. None of the handling marks can be felt. The sights are the period meprolight night sights which have gone dark and show some marks from drifting. The bore is bright and shiny with no evidence of corrosion. Grips are in excellent condition as well. The factory Novak sights are still available from S&W, if you wish to put it back original. Pistol comes with one factory 8-round magazine.
