Awesome condition for this famous WW I & II side arm. The original finish would easily rate 99%. The only finish loss is from some very slight sharp edge and muzzle silvering . The usual hairline cylinder drag ring and very tiny pin head rub mark under the barrel. There is no rust, rub marks, or pinpricks anywhere. The hammer and trigger have lost only about 10 % of the original "in the white" finish. The grip straps have not even started toning. The left of the frame at the top has the Flaming Bomb Ordinance stamp. The underside of the barrel is stamped United States Property. The bottom of the grip is stamped U.S Army Model 1917. All parts match. The walnut grips are as pristine as the rest of the gun. The recoil shield, cylinder faces, and the and force cone show almost no use. The bore is mirror bright with razor sharp rifling. This must have been someone's "Cabinet Queen" for the last 90+ years. A super fine example for the crtical collector looking for a centerpiece........$1895.
