Description:
This sword was collected back in the 1970's  and was picked up out in Maryland. The sword was produced in an area where some of the Irish Brigade was raised. The four leaf clover was a favorite of the Irish, they raised two cannon units  7th and 4th heavy artillary and there are crossed cannon and drums acid etched. Sauerbier sold sword to some of the members of the IRISH BRIGADE swords ,wither this is one of them I can not say, it is possible, but you will decide for your self. The leather scabbard is in good condition and is extremly ornate, the hangers need a tiny screw on one. The original leather belt hanger is attached. I believe this to be a rarer artillary sword, THE FOUR LEAF CLOVER HAS BEEN ALTERED TO FIT AGAINST THE HIP ,MORE EASYLY.  The tip has a tiny bit of plateing off , but in my opinion effect nothing. 859-533-5445
