Description:
The Dakota Model 76 is one of the most desirable hunting rifles in the world, proven on every continent, in every climate and on every type of game. Exemplifying the very best of bolt action innovation with exquisite lines and impeccable shot to shot precision, it has deservedly taken its place among the legendary rifles of the 20th and 21st centuries.
This 404 H&H Magnum African has a highly upgraded stock with a shadow line Monte Carlo cheekpiece, hand cut wrap around checkering including the grip, an ebony forend tip and ebony cross bolt plugs. The receiver, bottom metal (drop belly straddle floorplate), bolt shroud, grip cap, 30mm Talley quick release rings and bases are case colored. The bolt handle is rust blued and the remaining metal is matte blued. A foliate arabesque pattern engraving with gold inlays covers a large portion of the metal including the receiver, bottom metal, grip cap, Talley rings, quarter rib, barrel band and front sight. There is a picture of the African continent on the floorplate. A two blade quarter rib rear sight and banded, window hooded fiber optic front sight sit atop the 24” barrel. The sight is set back from the muzzle for easy carrying while in the field. The satin finish stock has a Pachmayr recoil pad on it that yields a 14” length of pull. The front barrel band and rear inset sling swivel studs make installing a sling a snap. Factory test fired only. Weight is 10.2 lbs.
This rifle comes with an extra factory synthetic stock. It is finished in a black and blue spiderpattern, has a Monte Carlo cheekpiece, a Pachmayr recoil pad and is fit to the action by Dakota.
