RARE BRITISH (SCOTLAND) DUNDEE PERCUSSION LINE THROWING GUN. CA. 1860’S-1870’S. 33” o/a with 16” smoothbore octagon barrel with 1 ½” bore diameter and stamped at the left breech with Birmingham proofs and “1 ½” between the proofs. Top flat engraved “A NO. 12, THE LINE THROWING GUN CO.LIMITED, DUNDEE”. Checkered pistol grip walnut stock with iron mounts. Nickel plated brass medallion on left side of stock numbered “14”. Excellent and all original with 50% blue mixed with even patina on metal. Stock very good withcrisp checkering. Working order and excellent bore. Rare nautical line throwing gun from the age of sail and whaling.
