Description:
45 ACP; 80% blue, very good bore, good grips, 5'' barrel, Original blued finish and checkered walnut double diamond grips. Made in 1917. Correct loop bottom magazine marked on base Cal. 455 Eley. The slide is stamped on the right side "COLT AUTOMATIC/CALIBRE 455". The left side of the slide is stamped with the two-line two-block patent dates and Colt's address with the Rampant Colt logo behind the slide serrations. A British crossed flags proof appears above the Rampant Colt logo. The right side of the frame is stamped "GOVERNMENT MODEL" over the W prefix serial number. The left side of the frame has a British crossed flags proof above the front trigger guard. The right side of the trigger guard is stamped with a British proof Broad Arrow crown/T9/E. The barrel is stamped on the right side of the lug with a "W" and on the bottom in front of the lug with a small "P". The barrel hood has the distinctive notch for the 455 cartridge rim. The metal finish shows some wear and handling scratches with thinning finish on the grip frame straps. Hold slide open is not working properly. Mechanically fine otherwise.
